1. Download

If you have already downloaded Visual Building to evaluate as a trial, then you do not need to download again, and so skip to step 3.

If you have not yet downloaded you may download  Visual Building from here.

(The evaluation and full version are the same file)

You may save the downloaded .exe to any location that you wish. Although you have the option to Run the install direct over the web you, there is an advantage to Save the file and then install from the saved file, as you can then reinstall again using the downloaded file.

 

2. Installation

Run the .exe to install it.

After installation has successfully completed you are now ready to run the program.

Locate Visual Building program icon Windows Start panel and run it.

Visual Building will then start and you will be presented with the Visual Building – Licensing panel

 

3. Registration and Licensing

After starting the program, if not already licensed you will be reminded to obtain a license.

You should now click on the Buy License button.

If you have already purchased Visual Building, you should still click on this button to complete your registration.
You will not need to purchase a license, if already purchased.

Click on the Buy license button.

 

4. Send License Request

The following license dialog will then display, showing your unique serial number.

If you have email capability on this computer them click on the Buy via e-mail button. This will result in the following dialog:

Enter your Name and Company name and then click on the Get license by e-mail button. This will automatically send an email containing the serial number to us (to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) Some email programs and settings may require than you manually send the email in which case it may remain in your outbox until you send it. If you do not have email capability on this computer, then copy the Serial number, with the Name and Company details that you entered and email it from another computer to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

5. Receive License File

You will receive a Visual Building License file – normally within 2 working days. You can use Visual Building unlicensed without any restrictions for 5 days. (These need not be consecutive days and so your unregistered/unlicensed use time could be much longer). When you do receive your License File by email, save it to a known place (e.g your desktop). unZip it and you should have a .key file called something like"Visual Building-NAME-COMPANY.key", where NAME and COMPANY are the details that you entered as Name and Company in Step 4. From within the Visual Building– Licensing panel, select the Read License file button to read in the license .key file you received by email. This will then automatically license your software. (If you received this file by email on another computer, you will need to transfer the file to the computer where you have installed Visual Building in order to carry out the above procedure)
